Practical advice for New Orleans tax payers

Welcome to New Orleans Tax Blog, offering practical advice to tax payers with civil and criminal tax issues. As a tax lawyer and criminal defense attorney, I help clients develop strategies to resolve state and federal tax deficiencies, civil audits, criminal investigations, collections matters, and IRS litigation. I also assist individual and corporate clients in pursuing refund suits to recover tax wrongly paid at both the state and federal level and provides general tax advice.

I am graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and have my L.L.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law.  After graduating from law school, I clerked for two federal judges in New Orleans:  Judge Sarah S. Vance on the Eastern District of Louisiana and Judge Edith Brown Clement on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Currently, I am partner with the law firm Schonekas, Evans, McGoey & McEachin.
